Mystery Mixer – How It Works

This is a non-role-playing, mingling social game that is perfect for team-building, ice-breakers, or for competitive play, if you so choose. Up to 8 players each receive a collectible charm set in a velveteen bag. Each set contains clues for one mystery word, title, or phrase, plus a sealed Hint card in an envelope, and a sealed Solution envelope. Players record official guesses on their Investigator Card.

Have more than 8 players? Purchase multiple volumes. With the volumes available (sold separately), you can cover 40+ players at your event.

Each volume (I-V, Tween, Sherlock, and Holidays) includes 8 new mysteries (words, common phrases, &/or titles) across 17+ categories.

This version includes keychain charm sets. Each version within the same volume contains the same mysteries.

2 Ways to Play

Play casually as a party activity, an icebreaker at any gathering, or run it as a structured competitive game with rounds, confidence wagers, mingling, hints, final guesses, and scoring.  Structured, competitive play takes about 45–90 minutes.
